We are going to go to TEXAS TECH! Yay for Lubbock, Texas. We prayerfully made this decision and are 100% confident with this decision. It is a very good law school with very good opportunities for Wade. We have talked with a few people who have brothers that have gone there and love it...so here is to the Red Raiders!
*******
Here is what I know, which eased my mind with going there:
*They have a TARGET. I would never move to a place that did not have a Target. And yes that is one of the first things I searched for.
*They also have an Old Navy. Phewwww!
*And of course they have a mall or two, outlet malls and all the shopping Reno has.
*The restaurants are the same as Reno too! Probably won't be able to afford a restaurant, but nice to know we have the option:)
*We can rent a HUGE 3-4 bedroom home for 850 0r 900. Sa...weet!
*There is a Temple in Lubbock which means that the LDS population is big for being a city populated with 200,000 people. Very comforting!
*We hear OVER AND OVER that the people of Texas are amazing. Glad to know:)
*They are in the BIG 12 conference in reference to their sports conf. so we will be able to watch some great college basketball. I know they have an amazing football team...not a fan of football, Wade is though so that might be fun for him!
*It takes 20 hours of driving to get there from Reno. So...I will be stuck there for 3 years! j/k but that was really a pressing issue when we were considering this school. It just isn't feasible to jump in the car with my kids and go home. We would have to fly and with 3 of us who would have to pay= around 600.00. I am having a hard time with this fact. But I know we are supposed to go there so I will make that part work somehow!

So there you have it. We are going to Texas Tech and I will be getting a Texas drivers license...so weird. I am not a big Western girl, so I hope I fit in:)
*****Thank you to everyone who has left sweet comments and congrats. It was so fun as we got every acceptance and I posted about them, to read the comments everyone would leave. I would always read them to Wade too, and he thought they were so sweet!

How exciting! Congratulations!!!!
Congratulations to both of you to the bright future! I will miss you so much girl.
Yay for Texas! We loved it there when we went for the Dallas Game. You should have Wade drive and you fly with the kids. But seriously, doesn't it feel nice to have the decision made? That's so exciting for the Iverson's!
Yeah!!! I am so excited for you guys. You really had me thinking you were going to decide on the one by Disneyland. You really left me haning with your last post. I can not wait to hopefully come visit you. And think you made a great decision especially that cost of living is so affordable will make school a lot more do able. So glad we can be poor in school together as well.
Keep me posted on your progress in moving plans. Good luck you will do great in Texas.
YEAH!! My brother will be so happy that you chose Texas Tech! He loved going to law school there, and he and my sister-in-law really liked living in Lubbock for three years.
We are so happy for you guys and know that Wade will do awesome in law school. Congrats!!
Yay!! I know Lubbock is not exactly next door to Austin - -but you could take a weekend getaway and come stay with us. We'd love it.
Congratulations to both you and Wade! I do think you will love Texas -- we sure do. (and I have many nieces who went to Texas Tech and love Lubbock!).
Such a relief for you to finally know where you'll be spending the next few years I'm sure. That is great! We also have heard great things about Texas. I'm sure you'll love it!
That must be a huge relief to finally have made that decision! Just get used to seeing Texas' flag on the roofs of homes!
Oh, and I'm NOT kidding about that by the way! :)
I am so happy for you guys. What an exciting opportunity!
Congratulations on the big decision! The people of Texas are blessed to have the Iverson family moving in!
Congrats! You will be missed!

Congrats!! I think making the decision is the hardest part (I hate not knowing where I will be in a few months!) I think you will love it & love experiencing a different way of life for a while.
Oh we are going to miss you guys, but I think it is awesome that you guys have this great opportunity. Good luck with everything-and you know you can call me for help if you need to!
Congratulations! Welcome to the BIG TWELVE! You will definitely become a football fan-it's life in that part of the country. We are so happy for you. You will love Texas.
Congratulations! Did I miss it in the post - does he start in the fall? When is the move? I've known a lot of people who've ended up in Texas and have really loved it too. Best wishes, and good job Wade on all of your achievements :)
