I am just warning anyone reading this...this is a crazy long post.
Last Friday Wade graduated from COT (I have some pics and a whole post later this week on COT) and then flew into San Francisco. We flew him in there because it was WAY cheaper then flying him into Reno and we thought it would be fun to spend the weekend together.
I picked him up at midnight and I really could not have waited a second longer to see him. When I saw him walk down the stairs at the baggage claim I cried. I was so excited. I ran to him and gave him the biggest hug. Thinking about it actually makes me cry.
Saturday morning we woke up early and headed out. It was like we were on our first date. We went to Half Moon Bay and walked around the docks, talked a bunch, and then stopped at this place on the water and ate some fresh sea food.
We ordered Oysters and they were delicious. We both ate them up and then ordered some Crab dish that I loved :)
After not seeing Wade for 5 weeks and only talking a minimal amount(at least it was everyday, I would have died if I couldn't talk to him everyday) it was the best reunion I could ever have imagined.
They were setting up for a wedding and we snapped a picture.
Before heading back to the city we stopped on these rocks and watched the surfers. I sat right next to him and we cuddled and chatted for awhile.
San Francisco has a lot of meaning to Wade and I. It's our special place. I think we have been there at least 15 times together.
After Half Moon we decided to go walk the Golden Gate Bridge. We actually had never done it. It was a long walk but super fun. Wade was hilarious. He was fine when we were walking but if we stopped he would have to go hold on to the big posts. And he didn't like me looking over. Never knew he was a tad nervous of walking on a bridge.
It cleared up right as we made it to the other side of the bridge. So beautiful.
Once we got off the bridge we headed back to the hotel and got ready for dinner. We ate at Wade's favorite place, Scoma's right on the Pier. It was a pricey little dinner but worth every penny. Wade deserved it after the 5 weeks he had been through. He ordered some Lobster dish. Yum Yum.
Sunday we woke up and headed to the Giant's Stadium to do the tour. We hadn't done that either. It was AWESOME! Definitely a must do for a Giants fan.
Visitor's dugout. Wade was on cloud nine the whole 1.5 hours.
Doesn't Wade look so thin? He lost another 10 pounds at COT. In 9 months he has lost 45 pounds. It's hard to tell since he is so tall but he has been so good and prepared himself well for all the physical training at COT.
Visitor's locker room. Love the idea that I was sitting where a hott MLB player sits :)
Boo DODGERS
They told us the most requested food item after the game is a Pb&J. They have gourmet food, but they always ask for a sammie.
This year has been full of tons of different emotions. We have been really happy and having tons of fun with trips, cruising, disneyland, ect. We have been really stressed with a bunch of different things and we have been really really sad too. Moving was hard, saying bye to Wade the first time was excruitating. It has been an emotional year. It definitely took a toll on us, but I am so thankful that our five weeks apart we were able to really focus on us and falling in love all over.
This was the view from one of the suites. It's only $4500 per game to rent out. Some day...
Frank sinatra bobble head. Wade is the biggest fan of Frank and the Giants.
Wade looks really cute here. This weekend went wayyyy too fast!
Here is some World Series BLING!
Once the tour was over we headed for some pizza by the ball park. It was fun. Then we made our way to the Oakland Temple.
First let me point out that for some reason I look gianormous in this picture. Bad angle I guess :) But I had to put it up here because it was all about the Voyage of the Brooklyn. A bunch of Mormons got on the Brooklyn and sailed from NY down under South America and settled in SF, doubling SF's population at the time. So cool.
We have been there since being married there, but this time it was so wonderful being together, snapping pictures and talking about our little family. We also talked baby names. No luck!
This view is unbelievable. You can see both bridges and it was just as clear of a view as it was on our wedding day.
I have this same picture in my wedding dress. Can't believe I am 8 years older, have two kids and pregnant! Can't believe it.
I couldn't have had a better time with him.
So after the Temple we headed back to Reno. Wade was so anxious to see the kids. We had the greatest weekend. It feels so good to be loved and I felt loved every minute.
We spent 10 days together and then he left again today for two and a half months. Yuck. I have cried a bunch today but it definitely wasn't as bad as saying bye the first time. We are both missing each other but looking forward to Thanksgiving because me and the kids are flying there for a whole week to be with him! Can't wait to be together again.
