BOY! We are having another BOY! We had "the" appointment while Wade was in town. We saw the little guy kick his legs at the same time and thought it was so cute. I kinda was hoping for a girl so Brooklyn could make sure and have a sister, but we are thrilled to have another boy. Dressing them alike is going to be so fun! Now if we could decide on a name... We definitely like the same names which is good, but for Wade nothing seems like "The name".
I have obviously had this news for 2 weeks now but wanted to post it when I had a really cute pregnant picture of me. I honestly cannot for the life of me take a good one. This one is disgusting and the lighting is awful. I am not sure I have gotten a good, non blurry pic since I have been pregnant! Anyways...here I am at 20 weeks. Winter and Macy...you now have proof that do have a belly and definitely look pregnant. It takes me awhile to show, but there is no mistaking now.
On Friday night Brooklyn had her primary program practice so Weston and I went on a date. I let him choose where to eat and he chose Genghis Grill. Yum. We had the best time and he was so sweet to me. He kept telling me he needed to take care of me. And he did. We ate, stopped by Walmart to get some candy corn and then went over to Dough Boys to get some donuts :) We ate some and got some for the morning. It was the perfect little date with my perfect little boy.
Saturday we had no plans. Wade is gone and my parents are on vacation in Hawaii. We were bored out of our mind. Around 10am I had the idea to take the kids to Apple Hill. So we got ready in 20 minutes and hopped in the car and drove 2.5 hours to Apple Hill. The whole entire drive is breath takingly beautiful. Especially in the fall. It was unbelievable the whole way.
Apple Hill is in California and is this cute little town with tons of apple orchards, farms and ranches. Each ranch/orchard has it's own thing but they all had fresh apple pie, apple juice/cider, Carmel apples, ect. Plus it's for families so there were lots of things to do.
Mainly my kids ran around under this tarp with all the other kids. I sat on the hay bins and watched them have fun. I did get really sad a few times when I saw these cute families with their daddy's. One time I saw this darling couple walk around holding hands and they stopped to give each other a kiss. Wade and I do that all the time and it made me realllllly miss him. Him being gone is sooooo difficult for me.
We just had fun being outside. The weather was gorgeous and the whole area was beautiful. And, the apple juice was delicious!!
My kids got their face/arm painted. That was the highlight for them.
We stayed just for about two hours and then headed back. We definitely would have stayed longer and visited all the ranches if we had gone with other people.
One ranch had homemade kettle corn that was the best I have ever had. We had this bag gone before we even made it back to Reno.
Isn't this unreal? I pulled over to get this picture because it took my breath away.
To get there we had to drive around the South part of Lake Tahoe. It too was so beautiful, but there isn't a part of Tahoe that isn't gorgeous. S. Tahoe was so happening and lively. Tons of things going on. On the way there my kids begged to stop and walk around. I told them on the way back we could. So we did. We ended up eating at Baja Fresh. Still can't believe we ate there and not some cool little cafe. I drove all around and just didn't know what would be cheap enough and kid friendly so we ended up there. Oh well!
So that was our weekend. I am trying so hard to try and stay busy and have fun to make this 3 months doable. It's hard though...I need my friends and I need a life :) It's rough having day in and day out with zero plans. Today, I think we are going to make hair bows, per Brooklyn's request :)
Oh and one last piece of news/something blog worthy. This is going to be our home!!! The plan was to move to AZ Dec 13 when Wade was done. However, Luke housing called me on Thursday and informed me that a 4 bedroom (we qualify for a 4 bedroom based on our family size) will be available Nov 19. This was a ginormous blessing because 4 bedrooms they said don't come available all too often. We thought we would be on a 6 month waiting list, or have to move off base. There were some 3 bedrooms but we would rather have lived off base and got a 4 then lived on and had a 3 bedroom.
So what this means is that we move a whole month sooner. I will move there with the kids NOV 19th and live there until Wade is done. Once he is done he will get our stuff from Texas and drive it to our house. So that means I will have pretty much just our clothes :) I asked them if we could hold it until DEC but they said we either had to take it then or it would go to the next person on the waiting list. I wasn't about to let that happen :) Luckily our close close family friend Jenny lives there close to where we will be and has some stuff we can use...air mattress, blankets, towels, kitchen stuff, ect.
Also, I just got off the phone with them and they told me all about this home. It sounds perfect for us. The school can be seen from my back yard! YAY! And there is a park within walking distance.
I am so so excited!
