A few weeks ago Weston ended up with a serious ouchie! Here are the pictures! Fyi...this post is a little gross!
This is how the day started. We were having such a fun time while Brooklyn is at school. We were meeting Grandma Jenny at Red Robin and while we waited Weston channled his inner monkey.
Then this happened :( We had just gotten to Jentry's house out in Carson and Weston was so excited to see his favorite person, Paiton. Because of this excitement he sprinted up to the door and tripped on the cement step outside and this was the result.
These pictures cannot possibly capture how bad this cut was. It was insanely deep and pretty awful. When the Dr saw it he made a gross face and said, "Oh yeah that is a bad one!"
The hugest blessing came when we could meet Uncle Augie and the Dr he works for to fix my little chunnie boy. The procedure was awful. He was so hysterical and it took every thing in me to not cry with him. He had a serious amount of needle pokes in his forehead to get it numb. His face was covered with a towel so the light on the Dr's head light wouldn't get to his eyes. This made Weston freak out. Plus we had to pretty much straddle him to get him still to do the stitches. Here he is after it was all done. We are so thankful that Augie was able to take amazing care of us.
This was the morning after the bump had gone down a little and he was feeling great. Actually he ran out of the hospital happy. We went to Walmart to get him some undies (he peed all over himself because of being so hysterical) and then headed back over to Paiton's house. And the rest of the night he was happy playing with his cousins. And are you wondering about him looking a tad girly in the puckered sleeves and hair clip? haha. Jentry let us borrow Paiton's clothes because his were so bloody. And his hair was clipped up like this for at least a week so his hair wouldn't get in the blood or the glue that was put over after the stitches.
I thought I should include a picture of my cute girl to break up the yucky pictures! Brooklyn is the best sister and took really good care of Weston. She takes good care of us all.
I am the furthest thing from a helicopter mom but until the stitches came out I was so paranoid over Weston. I didn't want him running, jumping or being a boy what so ever. To have that thing split open again was not going to happen!
Oh and here they are making their own pizzas. Thought I would include these too!
He looks way too much like a little girl here! Poor kid. And I am soooo sad that he split it open right in the middle of the forehead! Seriously??? :(
This was about a week after. It took well over a week for the scab to fall off. Now we are left with a sweet red scare right in the middle of his head. Hopefully the stuff we are putting on it takes care of the scar after time.
