I am a Mormon! I know It! I live It! I Love It!

*This is a journal type post with no pictures. If you want to see pictures look at the last post I did this week. And just to note, this isn't supposed to be a post where I brag that I am such a good Mormon or something. But it will be nice for my kids and grand kids to read one day. :)

Twice a year The Church of Jesus Christ holds a General Conference. It is held on Saturday and Sunday and we watch 2 sessions each day on the BYU channel. The speakers for these sessions are our Prophet, his Apostles and other General Authorities.

It's definitely two of my favorite times of year. This last General Conference we were traveling home from Vegas and missed all of Saturday's sessions. So the last few weeks I have been watching one or two of the talks each time online. I recently watched a talk given by Ann Dibb and her talk was titled, "I am a Mormon, I know it, I live, I love it!"

This talk hit me on such a personal level. I love when you hear a talk and you can relate so much to it. It got me thinking about how I wanted to be able to share the thougth's I had while listening to her talk. I related with this talk so much because I too feel that way. This could be my own personal statement. I am definitely proud to be a Mormon and always have been. I am so blessed to have known this my whole life. I am so grateful that my parents converted to this church and that I was able to be raised in a Mormon family. There has never been a time for me in my own life that I have questioned whether I wanted to continue being a Mormon. I am never ashamed or embarrassed of my beliefs. I am a Mormon and I grateful to use that word to describe myself!

I KNOW! I absolutely, 100% know that this Church is the True church of God. I know I have a Savior who died for me. I know there is a plan of happiness. I can repent of my sins and live with God again. I know their is forgiveness for the things I do wrong. And that every time I fall, my Savior is there waiting time and time again for me to get back up. I know there is life after death and that I can be with my family for Eternity. I know my marriage to Wade won't end with death do us part, we will continue our happiness and love beyond this life. I know there is a Living Prophet today like there were in Biblical times. We have a prophet and 12 Apostles that speak with God and then guide and direct us. I know if we follow their counsel we will be happy. I know that Christ Lives! And through the Spirit of God, I am able to have my prayers answered, I am able to receive personal revelation, and I am able to have had conformation that this is the True church.

I Live It! I think one of my best qualities is that I am obedient. I am faithful and loyal. I try and do what I know is right. I definitely sin and make mistakes, but for the most part, I try and Live it. I wouldn't want to "live" any other way. I love keeping the Sabbath day holy. I know it's a commandment and I love spending the day going to church and spending time at home with my family. It's a day of rest and I embrace it. We pay 10% tithe. I have a strong testimony to this principle. We pay this and have the comfort of knowing every thing will work out and we will be taken care of. I try and share the gospel as much as I can. I want every one to know that I am a Latter Day Saint and know what I know. I believe in missionary work and the blessings that comes with sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

I LOVE IT! and that is an understatement. There is nothing on this earth that means more to me then this. It's my greatest joy and biggest blessing. I love being a Mormon. I love that this church is based on Christ and centered around family. I love that it teaches love and service and compassion along with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I love that I grew up with high standards because of what my parents believed and the standards this church encourages. I love and feel comforted knowing that anywhere that JAG takes us around the world, I will have an immediate church family and friends. I love teaching my kids about their Savior. About Joseph Smith and other prophets. I love teaching them how to feel the Holy Ghost. And how to serve and be kind. I love going to the Temple and the answers I get there to things I am praying about. It's a place where I can receive direct revelation from God. I love being a Mormon family who goes to church every Sunday. I love having Family Home Evenings on Monday's where we have a spiritual lesson and get the opportunity to learn more. I have never wavered on my beliefs ever. I have never questioned. I love that! I love knowing and learning about Jesus Christ. I LOVE being a Mormon! I LOVE my Heavenly Father and his Son Jesus Christ!

And those are just a few things I know, live and love!
Thank you Ann Dibb, for an amazing talk.

What a beautiful, bold, honest post. Love it. You are a great example of living your testimony and not being afraid to share what you know! And also, you look fantastic...especially for being preggo with your THIRD. Wow!
