Christmas Day

This year we were home with my family this Christmas and what a Christmas it was. Wade and I have concluded that this Christmas was our most favorite Christmas we both have ever had. We woke up to a white Christmas so that was just perfect! Brooklyn was old enough this year to really enjoy and get into all the fun that comes with Christmas. She was also soooooooooo much fun on Christmas morning and throughout the day! Winter, Reilly and Chance also came from Utah. Our most favorite part was getting to be Santa on Christmas Eve. Being a parent is soooo much fun. We both couldn't have asked for a better Christmas and I am sure Brooklyn will agree considering she got SPOILED rotten by Santa, us and her family!

Be warned that there are a lot of pictures and a lot of explaining!

Santa and his cute wife stayed up until 12 putting this together for Brooklyn. Every time she goes to a friends house who has a kitchen she spends all her time there. So Santa found a great deal for this one and bought it! He really wanted the cute red one from Costco, but decided on this one and it couldn't be more perfect. Especially since we are having a boy too! Oh and he left her a stocking full of fun little things.
Mrs. Santa put this together for Brooklyn. Every time we go to Tracen's house she plays and plays with the basketball hoop. She is such a baller too! So this hoop and the kitchen were her big Santa gifts and what a HIT they were!

This picture was taken on Christmas Eve. These are the jammies she opened up...she loves monkeys! I will do a Christmas Eve post later.

Here she is on Christmas morning. Before my family got to our house we let Brooklyn run out and find what Santa brought for her. As she ran out she stopped and glanced at the hoop, put her hands over her mouth and said, "ohhhhhhhhh" and then ran to the kitchen where she has been since then. Getting her to open the rest of her gifts was a bit funny. She just wanted to keep playing in her kitchen! And she has seriously been there since!

I know this picture is dark, but this is the gift that my dad got my mom! She was shocked and and so happy! Good job Daddyo!

Brooklyn got this cool bubble wand in her sticking...it too was a big hit!

Digging for more!

Winter spoiled her with clothes, a Mickey Mouse, Mickey dvd's , and this super cool Mickey book. Oh can you tell that Brooklyn is a die hard fan of the Mickey Mouse Club House! Besides her Santa gifts, the gifts she got from us were either something Mickey or clothes! Thanks Winter...she loves everything you got her!

Macy got her her first mit and softball which is so fitting coming from the softball player herself! She also got her a dang cute outfit and a electronic ABC thing that helps her learn her ABC's. Great gifts from Aunt Macy!

Here she is with me opening a big mickey club house floor puzzle that you can play on! She loves it!
And Reilly went all out and got her this little power wheels! We couldn't believe he made such a big purchase, but it was so worth it! She LOVES it and it is so awesome! Too bad we had to charge it for 10 hours. Brooklyn kept trying to get on her "bike" as she calls it. When we got home for the evening from my parents she ran straight into our bedroom and hopped on it! Luckily it was charged by then, and she got her first ride in!

Here she is all pooped out come 11am after a long morning of opening and playing with the gifts. Saying she was a bit overwhelmed might be an understatement!

Here she is with her best friend Mickey watching her new Mickey DVD.

Coming around the corner on her "bike"! What a fabulous idea Uncle Reilly! Thank you so much!
And as for Wade and I and our date box gift idea...it turned out to be a perfect idea! We both got each other couple massages and dinner...bummer for us that we get to have two massages! We got each other the same gift 2 years ago too, a video camera for when Brooklyn was going to be born. Pretty funny! He also got me a date to go take 2 ballroom dance lessons together and even got me the shoes and a flowy skirt to go with the lessons. My other date for him was a "game night" idea. I got him tickets to see our new developmental NBA bball team, a poker set, and The Office trivia game! We also got each other a few other things. We both got each other the perfect date nights! Thanks Babe, I LOVED your creativity and your willingness to go to dance classes with me. You are the perfect husband!
We also had a Christmas breakfast after opening presents. My Grandma stayed the night at my parents, so she was able to join in our early morning fun! The rest of the day we lounged around and ate the yummy Iverson tradition food I made...cranberry cinnamon slush and their famous cheese ball. I also made homemade peanut butter cookies with Reese's in the middle(big deal for me because they were my first ever homemade cookie and they were delicious!) We watched movies and then got ready to head over to my parents for a yummy turkey dinner! They headed to a movie later and we headed home! I am almost depressed that it is all over. I loved every minute of this holiday season! Being a parent to a 21 month old during Christmas is something I will remember forever!
