Polar Express

On Friday our family and the Karrasch family went to Sacramento to take a ride on the Polar Express. We wore our jammies, borrowed my parents suburban and headed to Sacramento. We were all so excited. We got there just in time and boarded the Polar Express. The entire ride we sang Christmas songs, were read the Polar Express book and they even acted out some of the characters, and drank cocoa and cookies. We then got to the North Pole and saw Santa and all the North Pole decorations. Then we headed back for the train station and Santa visited us. Then we drove back that night! What a fun way to get into the Christmas spirit!

Here we are in our jammies. Sara made their bottoms and Brooklyns' and Wade and I had a matching pair! We all got compliments on how cute our group was. They were right, we were cute!
Wade thought he would be funny and look like a goof. This is seriously the best one of our family!

Brooklyn is so in love with her Santa hat. She did not want to take it off the whole night and even slept on the way home in it. She wore it all day today too! I am so enjoying her being interested in certain things. Right now it is definitely Santa and the Santa hat.

Here she is dancing on the way to the North Pole.

The Conductor punching our train ride tickets!

Totally an ugly picture of me, but I love that Brooklyn was kissing me on the cheek.

Here is Santa at the North Pole. I was not able to get a picture of the whole set, but it included lots of lights!

Then Santa visited the train on the way back and gave the kids a Jingle Bell.

On the way back we sang more Christmas songs and all the kids accompanied with their bells. It was SO much fun!

Oops out of order. Here is Tracen and Brooklyn looking out the window at Santa. So cute.

Brooklyn loves her bell, her Santa hat and seeing Santa. She kept trying to wave at him and to see him. It was adorable!

Here is our group with the Conductor outside of the train.

And here is the last attempt at a Christmas picture. ummm...it's ok.

I think we are cute though!
I would totally recommend taking a ride on the Polar Express. It was so much fun and such great experience right before Christmas. It was a little pricey at 25 bucks a piece but so worth it as it was such a great family activity that we all really enjoyed.

that sounds like it was a total blast! I knew they had a polar express train, but I didn't realize that they did all of that stuff with it...FUN!

That is so cool that sounds like so much fun. I had no idea they did something like that there. Maybe one year we will come down to do that.

yeah, we're doing it next year because my mother-in-law works at the railroad museum in Sacramento and will hook us up with tickets next year.
