Pictures to Go Along

Here are the pictures that could have gone along with the previous post I did earlier today.

Today Brooklyn and I got dressed up and cute and headed to Carson to surprise Wade for a little Christmas lunch. He LOVES when we surprise him and Brooklyn LOVES to find him in his office!
This is the Capitol building where his office is. We absolutely love this building and love that he gets to walk into this building for work every morning. It has the most beautiful grounds and is such a pretty building. We actually had part of my proposal on these grounds. Anyway it was fun to spend a few hours with Wade at work. It made his day and ours!


Here are some of our favorite ornaments from our tree.

My mom surprised Wade with this ornament last night. Ever since her party last weekend, which was an ornament exchange, he has wanted this silver reindeer ornament. There is a story behind why he loves it. I guess when he was little they had this ornament and since it was so heavy it got put away in its own box. So the next year as the family went to decorate the tree they all anticipated getting out this ornament because they thought it was special since it was in its own special box. So he just loves it because it reminds him of his childhood. That was so sweet of my mom to go and find it for him!

These are Wade and I's all time favorites and always will be. They are bride and groom fishies and their lips are magnetic so they kiss! We got these two fishies our first Christmas as a married couple from our long time family friend Jenny Clark.

This one is new to our tree this year. I got it at the South Meadows Ward RS Christmas dinner. How stinkin' cute is this star? It was hand made and I LOVE it!

This one is Brooklyn's favorite. It is the Horton Hears a Who elephant. I stole this ornament at the ornament exchange specifically for her because she loves elephants. When I got home from the party we gave it to her and she immediately went and put it on the tree! Too cute!

I forgot to mention that Brooklyn and I made spice cake cupcakes the other night. She did a good job licking the frosting out of the container and poking the cup cakes to death. But it wouldn't nearly be as fun without her messiness!
