Good and bad news yesterday from my visit with Dr. Omar. I also had another ultra sound. Ivy baby looks healthy and normal. I was not able to see his face again, or get the 3D effect again because this time his was face down. The ultra sound lady said that because I carry my babies really well(really long and hidden) that she couldn't get him to turn over. If I had a bigger belly, this would not be a problem every time. So that was a bummer. I want to see his face. She also re-confirmed that there was DEFINITELY boy parts still there. Oh good:)
Some other good news was that my blood pressure was completely normal. That was music for my ears:) Blood pressure is a HUGE issue for me, so I am so thankful that it was good. I also have gained 12 pounds so far, and the reason I include that is purely for my own journaling purpose. I wouldn't usually share that info publicly.
Bad news also accompanied my appointment. I have been having consistent contractions for probably 3-4 weeks now. Some are so intense that my heart palpitates at a crazy rate. They are not labor contractions, but that is not to say that they won't be in the next few weeks. When I shared this info with her, she gave me a sad look and told me that I am not nearly far enough along to be having so many. So given my history of pre- term labor with Brooklyn and the fact that I am only 23 weeks today, she wants to see me back Tuesday for another ultra sound to check my cervix and all that good stuff to see if I am in a pre- term labor stage. If so, hospital and bed rest will follow. She didn't say that, I am just a smart girl:) She did check my cervix herself and was happy to find out I am not dilated nor is my cervix thinned at all. She was very HAPPY about that and said it was a very good sign. I was dilated to a 1 at 27 weeks with Brooklyn when my pre-term labor...so good so far.
So anyone want to watch Brooklyn while I hang out in bed for the next 16 weeks? j/k I think I will be fine:)
I am so happy with Dr. Omar. I could not have asked for a better doctor. She remembers EVERY THING from my pregnancy with Brooklyn and makes me feel like her friend. She takes special care of me and I am so thankful for her. My pregnancy with Brooklyn could have caused so much damage that would have made it too risky for me to have had another one. She took excellent care of me, despite how hard it was for me. She is so great and I am so thankful for my good health care and for such a GREAT doctor.
I will update on Tuesday with the news of what happens.

Yeah, be sure to let us know how it goes. Anytime you want me to come over or take Brooklyn I can do that. Let me know when you're going to Costco next. I miss our fun trips.
If you need anything, I am just around the corner. I can watch Brooklyn or make you some meals, just let me know.
I'm playing blog catch-up after taking a 6 week post-delivery break and am happy for the update. I did not know about your pre-term labor with Brooklyn and hope that things go more smoothly this time.
Oh dang! Hope you won't have to be on bed rest again - I can't imagine it. Call me if you need help with Brooklyn...
Good luck with everything. I wish I was there to help! And sorry I am in Cedar City so I haven't e-mailed back yet.
Glad to hear baby is looking good and the ultra sound is under control. I hope the contractions are not causing any damage and you can stay off of bed rest. Keep us updated and good luck.
