Today I got the mail and there was VERY good news waiting in an envelope. It was from Texas Tech University School of Law! We found out yesterday that Texas Tech had made a decision on his acceptance. We were just waiting for the mail to find out if it was a yes or no. We thought for sure that if it was good news they would send it in a big envelope with lots of paper work. If it was a no, then it would come in a regular sized envelope. When I got the mail this afternoon I saw a regular sized envelope from Texas Tech. My heart dropped and I felt so sad. But then I opened it and it said, "Congratulations on your ACCEPTANCE!!!!" I was soooooooooooooooo excited. Wade and I had decided that when I got this kind of mail I could open it up and call him and tell him what it said. But this was the first one so I decided to wait to call him and surprise him at work:)
He was excited to see us, then I told him I had some mail from him. He had the BIGGEST smile on his face as he read it. Not only did he get accepted, he got a scholarship and got offered the in-state tuition rate...which is HUGE for us! Texas Tech was in our top three schools we chose, so this was a GREAT school to get word of first! Now we know we will for sure be going to Law School this fall.
Here is Wade checking more info about Texas Tech. We wanted to re-look at the tuition, FAQ's and all of that! This is a great school and we are SOOO blessed that Wade got in! Now we just need to see about all the other eleven schools we applied to. But for now, we are so overwhelmed and so excited. Although I am definitely not looking forward to moving from my family, Sara, Teri and all of my other friends whom I love!**********
Congrats Wade...this is HUGE for you! You know how proud I am of you, more than proud, I am SO IMPRESSED!

Congrats! That is so awesome and exciting! Now you just have to wait to hear back from all the other schools. The waiting game gets old but it will be so worth it in the end. We are so happy for you guys!
YAY!!! I am sooo excited for you! Congratulations WADE!
Congrats! You guys were definitely more on top of it than us. We're still working on applications! Bad idea for us!! Good for you though!! I'm not a fan of the waiting so I'll bet it's a relief to know for sure that he's at least accepted somewhere! CONGRATS again!!
That is GREAT!!! GO WADE! I have a friend who's husband attends that school. Lindsay you should E mail her she is so sweet and welcoming. Her name is Kendall Price, she is on my blog friend list.
Congrats! That is great news & especially along with a scholarship & lower tuition!
This is so exciting! Congrats Wade! Hey moving to Texas is not too bad. New beginnings. You can always move back! You never know... you might have to pick and choose where to go to law school because Wade will be accepted to all of them.
Wow, congratulations to Wade, such a great news. I will miss hanging out with you, but I am so happy for you.
Such exciting news for you guys! Congrats! I can't believe you might be moving to Texas! That's crazy!
Long comment alert:
I also just had to tell you that I had SUCH a hard time potty training Cora. At 2 years old she showed interest in the potty and was totally potty trained for like 3 weeks...no accidents! Then all of a sudden she just stopped. She'd pee/poop her pants and not even care. She started having more behavior issues too and it was just this huge power struggle between us ALL the time. It really stressed me out for SUCH a long time. I cried and cried over it and didn't know what to do. I swore she wouldn't be able to go to kindergarden b/c she'd still be in diapers. I didn't want to go back to diapers since she'd been in underwear for so long but I finally decided to just give up and go back to diapers. *sigh* What a huge relief it was. As much as I wanted her to be potty trained, she just wasn't ready. It was SO much less stress to let her kind of decide when she was ready. I would ask her every once in a while if she wanted to wear big girl panties and she'd always say no but right after she turned 3 she said yes. She seriously has had maybe 2 accidents since then and that was 6 months ago. She's in underwear through the night too. Don't stress yourself out about it too much. It's just not worth it. She'll feel your stress and it will make her uncomfortable. And clearly you don't need any extra stress while you're pregnant :) Sorry this comment is forever long, I just wanted to let you know you're not alone and she WILL be potty trained someday.
Congratulations! What great news. We are excited for you guys, and way to go Wade!
Yay Wade! Good job :)
Wahoo!
