One year ago today May 6th, I was exactly 38 weeks pregnant. I went in for my normal OB appointment and my blood pressure had spiked and Dr. Omar told me that I needed to be induced asap. She sent me home and told me to meet her at Labor and Delivery at 5am to start the induction. I remember being excited. 38 weeks is a PERFECT time to have a baby. I was 38 when I delivered Brooklyn as well. That day I wrapped up any errands I had been putting off, I cleaned my house, got my bags packed, ate at Qdoba with my parents and sister for dinner, and then had a completely sleepless night. I didn't sleep one ounce. How could I? I was way too excited for 5am to come. I can't believe a whole year has passed since that day. Here are a few pictures! Tomorrow I will do a post about Weston's first year!

See that nurse in the back ground? She is from Lubbock and got us all excited to move there! And this was Brooklyn's first time seeing Weston. How sweet a memory that was for Wade and I.
These two pictures were taken that day on May 6th. I wanted one last picture to remember what I looked like. And I also wanted to remember how sweet Brooklyn always was to my tummy. She LOVED anything and everything to do with my belly or her brother's new stuff. I just now looked back to my blog from 5/6/09 and I had written that Brooklyn was watching tv and had Weston's go home outfit under her arm. That totally brought back memories of Brooklyn being obsessed with Weston's clothes. We would find her sleeping with the bag that had all of his newborn clothes in it. She really loved anything that had to do with him. I am so thankful for my blog because I had completely forgotten about that and that is too sweet of a memory for me to forget.
