Update

My life has gotten CRAZY, absolutely crazy the last few weeks. It is such a good crazy though. The kids are busy and bored at home, so we have lots of play dates and lots of errands to occupy our days. Wade has had the last few days off from this last semester. He starts his summer school classes and his externship with a local District Attorney on Monday. Having him home has been nice, although he has been working on his writing sample for Law Review.

Lots of different emotion has been going on in our house too! We have lots of friends here that we love. Two families specifically that we consider our bestest friends here are moving away. Great things are happening in their lives, so we are happy for them but can't help but feel sad that we can't play anymore. Ben and Callie are Brooklyn's best little friends. She talks about them a million times a day, and I am really sad for her to loose them. My heart is already breaking and they haven't even moved yet. Debbie and Chelsea are the reasons that life has been so good here. They made my transition here a.piece.of.cake. This last year has been maybe one of my favorite years being an adult. I am not quite sure I will get through this next year...I know I will but it will be different. It is very rare that you find such perfect friends that have kids your own kids age, the husbands are friends where you find such peace and comfort.
Thankfully we will get through it and strengthen our friendships with our other friends and we will start new friendships with new friends. Life is still really good!

Weston is busier then busy. He is constantly on the go and to tell you the truth he exhausts me. Thankfully he is a good sleeper, a good eater, a good boy and a fun boy. He is loud and crazy and so much fun. I can't wait for my family to see him in June! He is so much fun:)
Brooklyn is smart. Really smart and she is getting smarter. She goes to preschool this fall and talks about it every single day. She is also starting dance class next week. I am enrolling her in the lil' hip hoppers dance class. She is so excited.

I also wanted to journal this last part for my own personal benefit. Our stake yw president advised me to keep a constant journal about my experiences being the YW president. Some things are far too personal to share on my public blog, but some things aren't and this is a really good place to keep it. Here is an email I wrote on Tuesday to my counselors after I visited one of my inactive young women.

Hi!

I just got home from my visit with Bro. Lindsay to see Kadee Boyce. There really couldn't have been a better outcome...except if she would have been there. Unfortunately she was at a band performance with her mom. Good news is that Mitch(the dad) agreed to have his family hear the discussions. YAY. What perfect news! He and Kadee are members, very inactive, and the mom is not a member. They also have a little boy who is 6. Mitch says that the gospel is true and he knows it, he has just become lazy and inactive. But he wants to change that and is willing to make the effort. So we are sending the missionaries over there. Brother Lindsay and I are going to take turns going there every time with the missionaries. I have such a testimony of missionary work, and this work going on here in Lubbock. So the fact that we as leaders and as Kadee's leaders specifically, can be a part of this gives me goose bumps!

So please help us in this effort and pray for her and for the spirit to touch this family. Also, if you would like, please join me in visiting her! I hear she is FABULOUS! She is heavily involved in band and school. She is a good girl who is making good choices. How perfect is she? I can't wait to get her back! We need her!

Lindsay

**This calling has been one of the greatest blessings in my life. I was scared to death my first week as young women's president, but since then it has been such a blessing. I have been so incredibly busy. I had meeting every single day last week. This morning I was at the Temple at 6am, and now I am a zombie. I am constantly on the computer, emailing, finding ideas, preparing lessons and notes for meetings. I am 24/7 thinking about what I can do to serve these girls, what we can plan for activities, ect. I have to say that I love every minute of it. I am all about missionary work, and I have such a great opportunity to rescue these girls and bring them back and just that brings a load of happiness to my life.

Life is so good:)

I am so glad you keep up your blog. I have not been doing very good at that lately but it is so nice to be able to read what you are up to and catch up!

I am glad that your life is going so good (well more like you have an awesome and positive outlook and are embracing where you are in life right now.) Yay!
