Sweet Things!

Today has been amazing! I love Mother's Day. I love any day that involves making anyone feel extra special. I don't mind being the recipient of feeling extra special either ;) I have been given the greatest blessings I could ever imagine. Being a mom, is by far the greatest and most important. I thank my Heavenly Father every single day for the opportunity of being a mom. I also thank my Heavenly Father for my mom. She is wonderful and fun, beautiful and enthusiastic, hard working and dedicated.

A few special things happened this morning that I don't want to forget.

*I woke up earlier then everyone this morning. I think I was excited it was Mother's Day and nervous for my new calling to begin. Anyway, I hear Weston on the monitor so I go up stairs. I open the door and he looks through the bars of the cribs and says, HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. That was the longest hi I had ever heard and I hadn't prompted him to say it. I loved it.

*Then Brooklyn immediately wakes up while I am getting Weston out of his crib and she says, "Happy Mother's Day mommy." She totally remembered what today was and no one even had to remind her. So loved that. Those two things immediately made my Mother's Day.

*At church Wade put his arm around me and was rubbing my arm. Brooklyn starts rubbing my arm and says, "I love you Mommy." She couldn't be more sweet if I asked her to. And she is always like that.

*Wade got me a beautiful card like he does every holiday. We love exchanging cards. His are by far the sweetest and deepest. Mine are always from the dollar store that I write meaningful stuff in.

Oh and before church as we are laying in bed together, Weston said over and over and over, while looking at me, "Nun-ah nun-ah, nun-ah."

And the talk today given in church by another girl named Lindsay, was about motherhood and womanhood and how wonderful we are. How we have a sacred role given to especially us as women. I loved it and it made me feel even more loved by Heavenly Father.

*Lastly, Wade is making t-bone steak, corn, rice pilaf, and cheesecake for dinner...and he just said..."Dinner is ready, come and eat!" Guess I gotta run!

Happy Mother's Day to all my friends and especially to my mom and Wade's mom!
